About Kylie Giacomelli

Hello and welcome!

As a child, I was always complemented on my art. I guess that's why I felt the desire to pursue an artistic career. After completing a visual merchandising certificate in 1993, I began a signwriting apprenticeship, which involved being creative and drawing (back in the day before the digital printing took over!!) and started my own business at 21yrs of age. In my spare time I was creating and painting mirror frames, tables and toy boxes.

In my 20's I began attending regular yoga classes with Swami Sarasvati (who bought yoga to Australian TV in the 60's). This led me to begin a yoga teacher training journey with her in 2007. Since then, I have explored an array of yoga lineages including Hatha Yoga, Japanese Remedial Yoga & Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga. Swami also inspired me to begin a meditation practice and I studied meditation in 2008.

Before opening the doors to the yoga studio in Windsor (wild yoga & meditation), I completed training in Art therapy and facilitated art therapy groups in psychiatric hospitals and aged care homes. I also held private sessions in various locations in the Hawkesbury.

My upbringing (living opposite the bush) planted a deep love for the wild aliveness of the land. This is where Wild originates. From the feeling of being one with the wild aliveness of nature. Being fully alive and embedded in the living universe. Everything filled with wonder. This is where I get inspiration. Where I find connection to symbols and my unique visual language.

As yoga also connects to this raw, wild, cyclical flow of aliveness, I instantly fell in love with the practice.

Feel free to get in touch or join a class! x

Boy am I glad that WILD Yoga and Meditation has come into my life. This yoga shala is perfect and has such a warm and friendly atmosphere. There's a wide variety of classes to choose from for people of all ages and levels, meditation classes and regular interesting and unique workshops available. Kylie is a phenomenal yoga teacher and has a lovely down to earth nature. She ensures that everyone in the class is comfortable and has a gift of explaining exactly how the pose should feel, with little tips/adjustments along the way that make all the difference. Truly special!
