What to expect:
Join us for a unique and immersive workshop where we blend the art of pottery with the ancient tradition of cacao ritual. In this hands-on experience, participants will not only craft their own ceramic mug but also infuse it with intention and meaning through a guided cacao ceremony.
The first part of the workshop will focus on pottery-making techniques. The facilitator will guide the group through the process of shaping and molding clay into personalized mugs. Participants will have the creative freedom to experiment with different shapes, textures, and designs, allowing their individual expressions to shine through in their creations.
As the mugs take form, the atmosphere will shift into a sacred space for a cacao ceremony. Participants will gather in a circle and be led through a guided meditation, connecting with the spirit of cacao and setting intentions for their mugs. Warm cups of ceremonial-grade cacao will be served, inviting participants to savor the rich flavors and open their hearts to the creative process.
With their mugs infused with intention and their spirits uplifted by the cacao, participants will then move on to the glazing stage. The act of glazing will become a meditative practice, as participants pour their energy and attention into each brushstroke, infusing their mugs with even deeper layers of meaning.
Option:
A) to leave your mug with the facilitator to be fired. glazed inside mug, and fired again. Finally sent to your home ready to begin your cacao drinking ritual.
B) Or participants may take their mug home and chose their own pottery studio for firing.
Come join us for an unforgettable journey of self-discovery, creativity, and nourishment for the soul.
